Socialyzer ("we", "us") provides a social media management and publishing service at socialyzer.net, operated by Fair Enough EOOD, a company registered in Bulgaria, which acts as the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have over it.
Information we collect
- Account data - name, username, email address, password (stored only as a salted hash), timezone and locale.
- Connected social accounts - when you connect a Facebook Page, Instagram, X, LinkedIn or TikTok account, we store the access tokens that platform issues, along with the account's public profile name, identifier and avatar. We request only the permissions needed to publish and to read back the posts we published.
- Content you create - drafts, scheduled posts, captions, uploaded media, and the analytics the platforms return about them.
- Billing data - plan, invoices and payment status. Card details are handled entirely by our payment processor and never reach our servers.
- Technical data - IP address, browser user agent and session cookies, used to keep you signed in and to secure the service.
How we use it
To operate the service: publishing your content to the accounts you connected, showing analytics, processing payments, sending transactional email (password resets, receipts, failure notices), and preventing abuse. We do not sell your data, and we do not use the content of your posts to train models.
Sharing
We share data only with the processors needed to run the service: the social platforms you explicitly connect, our payment processor (Stripe), our email delivery provider (Resend), and our hosting provider, Amazon Web Services, whose servers hosting this service are located in the United States. Each receives only what its function requires. Where data is processed outside the EEA, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer under applicable data protection law. Data we receive from the social platforms' APIs (including Meta "Platform Data" such as Page and account identifiers and access tokens) is never sold and is processed only by us and the hosting provider above.
Retention
We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active. Delete your account and we remove your personal data and revoke stored social tokens within 30 days, except records we must retain for tax and accounting purposes.
Your rights
You may access, correct, export or delete your data at any time from your account settings, or by emailing us. You can disconnect any social account from the dashboard, which immediately revokes our stored token for it. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
Deleting your data
You can have your data deleted at any time, in any of these ways:
- Disconnect a social account - remove the channel from your dashboard. Its stored access token is revoked immediately and data received from that platform for the channel is deleted.
- Delete your account - use your account settings, or email support@socialyzer.net from the address on your account. Personal data and all stored social tokens are removed within 30 days, except records we must retain for tax and accounting purposes.
- Revoke access on the platform side - for Facebook and Instagram you can also remove Socialyzer in your Facebook settings under Business Integrations, which invalidates the tokens we hold.
Step-by-step instructions are also published at socialyzer.net/delete-data.html.
Platform-specific terms
Our use of information received from Meta, X, LinkedIn and TikTok APIs follows each platform's developer terms and limited-use requirements. We use that data solely to provide the publishing and analytics features you asked for.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Access tokens are stored encrypted, and databases are backed up nightly.
